Writing in Spanish
Yesterday I wrote an email to the director of my program in Spanish. I left out like 3-4 words (maybe more) and Juan Mi filled them in.
Here's my beautiful email.
Hola Sra. Monica,
Mi nombre es Ali Crabb y tengo 23 anos. Terminé la universidad en 2004 y enseñé ingles a refugiados en Houston, Texas. Mi vuelo es el 22 enero a 9:49 en la noche. (Continental Airlines)Yo estoy muy feliz de conocerla a usted y a las niñas. Estoy también feliz de aprendir espanol!!

Gracias por aceptar trabajar en nuestra institución, Eileen me ha hablado de ti, estamos muy felices de que tu puedas estar con nosotras.
Estaremos esperandote en el aeropuerto.

I just feel very happy to be communicating in Spanish. I've communicated with so many people in their second language and now its finally going to be me in my second language. Although I should really keep doing exercises in my spanish book if I cared that much.
That website looks really cool too. Very professionally done and it has lots of information. The english page is still under construction though.

Ali -- ¡felicitaciones por haber entrado el mundo de los blogs! ... :)
Spend some time with Blogger's FAQs and help menus. You need some very basic html skills to update the links in the sidebars (the text on the right column, for instance). However, when posting, it's not necessary. Blogger has a handy editor.
